THE 30TH ANNUAL ARIA AWARDS - NOVEMBER 2016
The Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards is an annual series of awards nights celebrating the Australian music industry, put on by the Australian Recording Industry Association.
The ARIAs is the flagship event on the Australian music calendar - a celebration of all that is great in local music. In 2016, the ARIA Awards will celebrate 30 years of ARIA, commemorating three decades of recognising excellence and innovation across all genres of Australian music.
The very first ARIA Awards were held in 1987 and hosted by Sir Elton John and winners included INXS, Crowded House and John Farnham. Since that time the ARIA Awards have developed into Australia's pinnacle Awards ceremony, forging careers and playing host to countless memorable moments and performances.
The 30th ARIA Awards provides an opportunity for ARIA and the music industry to celebrate its incredible history, amazing artists and moments of national significance.
